The City constructed a mile long, 8 foot wide concrete trail along the north side of Jacoby Drive in 2002.\u00a0 The 5\u201d concrete walkway included about 4,600 square yards of pavement.<\/p>\n
The project included a pre-engineered steel truss bridge with wood decking and Corten steel over a dry run creek in the project area.<\/p>\n
Funding of the project was with a Surface Transportation Project grant from the Iowa DOT.\u00a0\u00a0 The project was bid through a State letting.\u00a0\u00a0 Project design and construction services were\u00a0 provided by Gibbs Engineering and Surveying, P.C. following State guidelines.<\/p>\n
The City has extensively landscaped the trail and constructed a brick gateway structure to enhance the area and welcome people to the City.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
